hehe this should be a laugh then. Just to reiterate Trev's comment though, we will only be flying if we actually think it's possible.

Motor's wise now I've got the 600XL back (after the shaft snapping incidents) I'm certain the Century 600+ had more guts, it looks better on the inflight logs and it felt better inflight. I've got a NEU1515/2.5D on the way which according to our friends across the atlantic is 'the' motor. We will see.

The test was fairly taken, I stood in the open, unobstructed and standing in 'flying stance' and waited for 6 minutes (as this would be the length of my flight). I got blown over within seconds, therefore concluding that the windstrength was too strong for flying...

If someone was to lend me their heli I'd happily take it out for a spin (providing I wasn't held accountable for any damaged that might occur during said flying session). This would have to be actioned in a 'simulator flying stance', otherwise known as sitting down.

I had a feeling there would be no flight today

Shame though, was looking forward to seeing that thing floating around in the wind.

Damn it's strong here today as well (SE London) I'm hoping to get some hovering (me noob) in at the weekend though, it's sposed to be calming down to about 10 mph round this way.

Trev, you should take a leaf out of my book and eat a bit more junk food and get some weight on you... that would stop you falling over in a wind
                    Cheers Russ

haha, the only exercise I get is carrying the 110A truck battery for charging off of from the garage to the car...

hmm, wind is pretty strong which I might consider flying in but it's also lashing down with horizontal style rain, which I'm not flying in.
