Had three flights myself. Wrapped up warm as I could.. Cycle mits on, but was beaten by the cold.. Not enjoyable at all

I had my uniform on, jumper, body warmer & a fleece & i still felt it

Had a couple of flights today after fitting a new carb to my HZ 91.
Been having loads of trouble with this engine leaning out half way through a flight, swapped everything out and the carb was the only thing left to try. Seems to have sorted it but ive thought that before so we'll see once its got a few more flights on it.
It was bloody cold though

Walking the dog on Southampton common this morn was bad enough. No chance of getting my hands outside my pockets let alone hold a transmitter.
As nice as it was, I was glad to get back in the car go home and tinker with my new Futaba Tx

It was a fantastic day today, I only had 7 calls (the management are numpties & have completely screwed our calls up) & one of them was at Beaulieu. Well i can't get into the building i need until 8:30 so at 7:55am i was sat in the van, Logo in footwell staring out at a deserted Aerodrome. I was going to fly but you need a permit & if i had of flown i bet someone would have turned up & moaned. So i flew later at my field instead.

I decided that i REALLY need to start working on my other directions as i'm begining to get scared of them. CW & CCW backwards inverted are ok but it's normal inverted & upright backwards i need to make sure i fly CW again.

I would of flown anyway mate . the old moaning plankers don't fly much in the winter anyway.

I did the same today i managed to get two 5 minute flights with the 450 airwolf and one 5 minute flight with the Trex 600 but it was bitterly cold in the wind and i couldn't feel my digits so i gave up and went home to a warm cuppa.......should have stayed at home because it wasn't that enjoyable, in fact it was more like self-imposed torture

Flew 5 tanks through today, good flights on 3rd, 4th and 5th doing top hats and oval circuits.

Damn cold though, tried out a transmitter mit but didn't like it.

I flew yesterday & it was great. It was very cold but when your a heliaddict it's needs must. I've got pretty good at my half piro flip from inverted to upright that i've brought it down lower & closer almost to where i do most my inverted hovering. Your making me jeleous Vic as my airwolf is just an empty fuselage right now & i'd love to fly it again.
