Sure did see it at the champs......it was very entertaining but there wasnt many pilots compaired to 2009. I hope to do my B cert very soon...so with any luck they might let me enter the night fly comp next year.

Fixed the vibs on my 500. Basically the stock HK tail case bearings had too much slop in them.

Anyway had the 500 running 100% and all is well! Perfect sunny day was the icing on the cake.

Saw p4ddy down the field who had grinded a hole in one of his lipo cells. Lipo not strapped down wasn't it mate? Looked like the cell was properly damaged mate - sorry to see that. If your able to get another cell I will for sure have a crack at doing a neat swap out for you. Think its the only way other than buying another £50.00 lipo, so will be worth it.

How the f... did i miss the straps??? Could have been so much worse, i could of had a melted logo. I only have half the velcro in the frame since i oput a new frame half on. That's not a bad idea mate the voltage is a tad lower in that cell so it's not dead but i don't want to risk it.

They don't do 1s 5000 25-35C. I've just put it back on the 10s & it's officially now a 5s pack. I need to remove the dead cell then i can fly again but only sport flying

Met p4ddy by chance down at our local field today - 3 packs each to get our flying fix.

bloody windy though - just had a look at the weather and it says 15-17mph winds. Felt more like 30mph gusts

p4ddy's Logo 500 was a speck in the sky at one point - COME BACK!!

Just checked & it's 35mph gusts BUT remember the gusts are almost continueous. Nutters?? nah just HARDCORE ADDICTS


Yea my poor heli was being blown further & further away whilst doing piro flips Doing them with proper CM would have kept them steady but i'm still learning

gave the Helipad a spruce up with the mower and rake too; trim and bit of an extension - took a bit of effort - especially pushing it back to the car through the long grass of the field - sweaty pits! haha need some exercise anyway

Gav do you know when's the next meet is? I've got two weeks off work now and haven't flown for ages. I'm sure the Mrs wouldn't mind me having a break from baby duties for a few hours.

I flew today but only 2 lipo's as my hands were getting freezing & i didn't bother putting my gloves on. I need some gloves with grip on the palms as i find my wooly ones make the TX feel like it's gona slip from my hands

Went up to the field today, and despite met forecast, was as windy as yesterday. However, I had 2 tanks doing A cert practice and other stuff on my 600, plus did some more running-in of the Irvine on my Wot4 plank. Even did some taxiing with it.

Forecast for rest of week is not great though.

Was at the Farnham club at lunch and it was a little parky, but wind was fine, a bit grey but still had a good raz.

My lipo seemed to suffer a little - a bit less flying time was available
