It was a brilliant day for me at lovely, sunny (as usual) Milton Keynes. There was a light breeze from the South and it was pleasantly warm.


I had one flight with the 450, four with the 700 (which I hadn't flown since mid- November) and 8 with the foamy.


About 14 members turned up altogether. The chat, as usual was scintillating.

Rode past South hants Heli club whilst someone was flying a big red gobble. Beeped my horn as I went past but they wouldn't know who I was anyway.

Yes! I finally got out to the club. First time since before the winter. Perfect weather today and still February, whodathunkit!

Test hovered my Goblin 500 yesterday. After a 6 year break in flying it seems i have not forgotten how to generally keep a helicopter in the air, happy days.

It also shows that i have programmed the VControl at least half acceptably, which was a learning curve and a half.

Now to get some proper air time in down at the field, and to get my 630 built up and airborne.

What a fabulous day it was today at a very sunny MK.

In all 21 people turned up today including guest (with barbecue), and two former members who just dropped in to say hello.

A lot of flying took place including a bit of foamying.

There was a light easterly breeze which died down in the afternoon. Temperatures were about 21 C.

A jolly good time was had by all.

I was flying along the roads in a big blue double decker bus.

21! That's like a fly-in. I'd love that.

My club has 18 members. 6-8 of those are regulars, and on a busy Sunday, there might (very rarely) be 8 or more people. I went yesterday for a couple of hours, and there were two other people there. One guy went today and was surprised no one else was there. Tomorrow, I bet there'll be 3-4 people max, because I know a couple of the regulars are out of town and I can't go.

Faster at the moment, got to replace a couple of oil seals. Hooked the old out and I'm yet to press the new ones in. Got 2 days off from tomorrow so I'll do it then.

There was a bit of a breeze but it didn't prevent some brilliant flying (not from me).

Those oil seals didn't last long. You rebuilt it only a few months ago?

New rings that's all. Guide seals which I didn't fit. It's the counter shaft seal and the one the clutch push rod gors through. They're original still but it's now spitting oil on the chain and onto the rear wheel so got new ones. 2014 I done the rings.

I remember when my old slabby had an oil leak from one of the rocker cover bolts, the thread wasn't too good and awaiting a m7 helicoil kit I took the bike out to have oil all over the rear tyre within 1/4 mile
It came home very slowly

Flew every day over the bank holiday and today, also got a new 40ft container, so I now have heli storage in my 20ft and a work shop, along with plane storage in my 40ft. Did about 80 flights in total.
