I had a great afternoon at sunny MK. There was a bit if a breeze but it dropped at times and we had non-stop sunshine. It was shirt sleeves warm.
I did a bit of hedge trimming and then had five excellent flights. My club-mates Richard V, Mike W, Dave S and J Dave were in good form.Tron 7.0 advance Vbar evo V Control

Great weekend, 50 flights in total. Nice and warm at MK today with the Mikes and Daves.
Discovered a damaged blade half way through the day, which I think may have come from a vicious blade stop wobble earlier on. Fortunately MikeW had a set of 710 Thunderbolts that he allowed me to take off his Forza.
Flew until the sun went down, love it!

Hey up
Got a few flights in the mist and wind this morning. Working on inverted flight. I have found recently that i am making plenty of errors on the elevator in particular, trying to move forward.
So today i thought lets move forward and slow down, move forward and slow down. Then i thought a bit more, and once so far along the flight line try and slow up and rotate the rudder to turn the heli 180 degrees.
Spent a good few flights just doing that up and down the flight time. Simple stuff but it was a good bit of progress for me. The significant thing for me is i spent flight after flight inverted and effectively flying around inverted for the full flight duration.
I can tell tho, that the left turn off my right hand side is going to be easier than a right turn off my left. I am gonna keep working on this and hopefully move into a proper turn with elevator, aileron, rudder and collective.
But it was good practice today with the elevator for sure. Also flying the rudder inverted in particular!!

There was little wind this afternoon so I dug out the Blade 130 and charged a couple of batteries. By the time they were done I had imbibed a couple of glasses of wine so I decided not to bother.

What a lovely day!
I've decided to have a more planned approach a bit like Craig above. I did all my available 4 flights on the Blade 230s practising going from nose out to nose in hovering. I noticed on my last flights that this is where i was having trouble. Not the flying nose in or out but the turning from one to the other and keeping in roughly the same place.
I then moved onto 4 flights of the Trex 450 and the practice is working a treat.
Very happy on the way home.
Think it's probably my best day after all this time.
So this is my new method. Chose something and work on it on the 230s and then move it onto the Trex450. A sort of step by step approach.
I was told off very politely for flying out of the designated area (i had moved somewhere quieter and away from dog walkers) But i was very compliant and polite too obviously!
I can even fly inverted on Phoenix for a bit now. but that's just for fun when i'm only crashing pixels! I did find it helpful to change the time it takes for the heli to 'regenerate' on Phoenix to longer as it makes you try and avoid crashing more!
Great day!

There was little wind so I got out the Blade 130 and gave it a fly round the garden. On the third flight the tail servo packed up.
I don't think I will bother to get another servo. I will get rid of it.Tron 7.0 advance Vbar evo V Control
