8 flights on Saturday, 5 with the Trex 700X and 3 with the Devil 420. All went to plan other than a puffed lipo. I think that was most likely my fault for accidentally putting in a storage charged lipo along with a fully charged one on the 700X. The storage charged one not surprisingly got over discharged.

It was another excellent day today at Milton Keynes. It was sunny, as usual, with a moderate breeze. I got in five flights and a bit more practice with the stall turns.

I watched some good flying from Dave Darlow and Dave Seamark. Watch out for them if I can ever persuade them to enter an F3N competition.

Duncan O was there, breathtakingly good, as always.

Put 2x flights on my X5, and 3x on my Trex 700. I'm amazed I didn't forget something that they needed to make them fly, seeing as I forgot my neck strap, sun glasses, hat and sun screen.

The 700 was breathtakingly good today, and the extra 3mm on my X5 tail blades gave a noticeable improvement at 2350rpm, but still not perfect.

Maidened my newly built Max V2 800 today. Absolutely over the moon with it. The build was effortless as well. Just one schoolboy error. On first start, I realised that the throttle curve needed to be increased as the head speed was too low. I increased it from 60% to 75% in normal mode, and in my rush to maintain my flying slot, just copied normal mode to idleup1 forgetting to change bottom stick position from 0% to 75% for a flat line. Net result in idleup1 was that when descending, the throttle cut. Luckily my esc gives you a few seconds grace before it resets to soft start and so I managed to get it back on the ground in steps. For a heavy heli it's quite floaty. Must be the wide chord 800mm blades. It now flies a treat and I'm well pleased with it. It's really quiet as well compared to the Compass. Got six flights in and came home with a big smile.

A few days late, but I think it's worth a mention.

The AHA had their 2nd F3N competition of 2017 on Sunday at Staffs Model Heli Club. It was the busiest they've ever been with 14 competitors turning up. The organising was top notch with Julie and Graham keeping things moving, judges Jason, Jamie, Nigel and Paul scoring over 50 flights during the day and the members of Staffs putting on an excellent BBQ.

Many thanks to Peter Foulkes, Rachel and Jamie for doing a decent job of calling for me. I think it was a great day for everyone involved and I'm looking forward to the next one.

Oh yes! The repaired Synergy was on great form supporting me to finally achieve my 'A'😊
Mkt is not a race I know but very chuffed to have done it! Several others achieved certificates too as we enjoyed a fabulous day at CMHC with wall to wall sunshine.

3 quick flights today e700, warm and sunny. 80 flights new year total.

I put 4 flights on my Trex 700 today, 2x on the Trex 500 and 1x on the Gaui X3. I also got to see a Goblin 770 for the first time. That was a beast.

The more I fly the 700, the more I think "What's the point in flying the smaller ones?". Back out tomorrow with it. Not sure I'll bother taking anything smaller unless it's calm enough for my little micro HCP100S.

A great two sessions at MK which was, as usual, sunny. It was also very warm today. I continued to practice stall turns and for a bit of amusement watched MW poke the components of his Goblin 380 out from the oak tree.

It was windy, so a basic day today. Orientations. Also I think I have managed to crack inverted tail in!

Last flight of the day was on the 570, nearly crashed it lol. But the whole fleet came back in one piece!

Hey2 flights on the 600l today, and 5 on the goblin. A friend at a local club offered to help me (thanks Paul) with an issue I have been having tuning the 570. After his help its flying amazing. Night and day!It it turning into good fun!
