Amazingly light damage considering it was making a bid for Australia lol. Only damage tail shaft, main gear and both front servo horns. Blades, canopy and boom still straight TT etc all escaped injury. Even the servos are good !! The mud just absorbed the impact ;-) oh the tail fin bought it surprisingly lol

Tidy that ! So how much of it was bust once you got the mud off ?

That looks indentical to when my velo 50 went tail in, it took p4ddy and myself to pull it out must of gone in a foot. Tried to find the photos but can't.

I did 4 packs of hovering, but on the second my 450 went into pirouette mode I managed to get it down quick and thanks to my newly installed 500 landing gear, no damage, result.
Anyway on inspection the rear ball link had come undone from the tail arm.
A bigger dollop of thread lock applied and airborne again.
The heli was checked before I spooled up so in approx 10 mins the screw had come undone.
I must remember to apply more threadlock in the future.

managed one battery on both my freshly fixed mcpx and also my freshly rebuilt 450 dfc...IMG_1065.jpg

had enough of rebuilding for this month and so cant wait for the 550 dfc to come out so i can get some fresh build on the go......and then even more rebuilding lol

A couple of flights with the Nano just as the light faded at 16:15. Flips, funnels, backwards inverted and a bit more. On the down side I think after 80+ flights the motor or battery is showing signs of deteriorating so might be time to look into brushless.

Field to myself this morning, a little cold and very grey but put all 6 packs through the 500 and was so chuffed with how confident I felt finally. Having recently started ff today it really was FFF! I was throwing it around the sky just like I do on the sim. I very nearly had the balls to try a loop or a flip, but maybe next time!

Just got back from the field put 5 sets of batteries through the goblin. Did my lowest inverted hover about 1m of the ground. So haven't got the balls to practice inverted backwards flying yet. I start of OK then I chicken out. Lol. Also met new member Danny (That Guy) who's just started out and who will be bringing his 400 to the weekly meeting tomorrow. Roll on tomorrows session.

yes was a nice flight you had i was impressed just fixed mine using red thread lock this time "bloody tails" and now I'm off to get my 3d plane out up at lordshill 5 acres and ill take my Helli out again with the last 4 batteries
