I've mamaged to fly 3 batteries in my 450 between the showers this afternoon. The gusts of wind made it interesting; and its cold! Hopefully the red sky now means I'll be able to fly tomorrow morning (forecast for the afternoon is yet more rain).

+1 Adrian, it's been abysmal since we finished for Christmas and was really looking forward to getting out for a hover with my Lads.
And the latest forecast is for gales with more rain,what a load of boll****.

Got out this morning met up with jimmyhorns and Porscheboy. Finally had 4 flights on the goblin. It didn't crash and the ec5's didn't melt. was getting my confidence back by the last flight.

Also had my 2nd flight on the 130x and did my first backwards inverted circle. Love this little heli. Can't wait for my new lipos to arrive for it.

Went out today as the weather was looking lovely this morning. Took 3 packs for the goblin and a bottle of optifuel.

Had to pull the clutch out of the nitro and "adjust" it this morning before flying, seems to work ok now. TIme will tell, we will see!

Still, managed one flight on the goblin, watched a friend do a flight with his fused align 700 FAI, put a tank through the 700, another pack through the goblin and then it started to rain. All in all only 3 flights but Im happy I got out at all!

Did my first piro flip on the goblin too...sort of I think haha. Been trying to work up the courage to do it for ages, I took it so high though I could barely see what it was doing. I had left rudder and gave the cyclic a good stir and the next thing I know it was right way up, not really sure what happened in between

Anyway, cant wait for some better weather. Some lovely long autos today with the wind as it was, but its no fun when you want to try new things.

had the nano out for a couple of lipos in 35mph gusts in between quad fpv flights, was too windy for either really

Couldn't be bothered to take the bigger stuff out ,so took the "toy" ones instead- despite the stiff breeze,managed 6 flights before my hands got too cold !!
Actually had a lot of fun flying these,shame no else turned up .

I went to the field to enter a glider comp, but after watching the experienced guys fight with them in the air I gave it a miss,,,
I did a flight with the 500, was a bit of fun

I tried to get out flying today. I had everything ready, LiPos charged, bike tyre fixed etc. The weather looked at least OK. I was ready to enjoy the train journey because today, due I supposed to engineering works, there was a direct route from my station to the station I need for the flying field. Ordinarily there are two or three stops depending on Saturday or Sunday, so it was very novel and rare to have a direct train, literally get on at my station and arrive at my destination. I had an old MHW magazine to read on the train etc.

Sooooo, about 3 stops along we were held just before getting to Norwood Junction and eventually the driver came on and said due to a fatality in the West Croydon area the train would now call at Norwood Junction and then be diverted to east Croydon where it would terminate. The Dorking services were cancelled until further notice. With no alternative route in sight I had no choice but to get off the train at Norwood Junction and turn back (which still took quite a while as all trains both ways were disrupted).

So a bit over an hour later (right about the time I'd be arriving) I was right back where I started. I did at least get a refund :-(

Managed to get 6 packs through my Compass Atom 500 today. Nothing fancy, just a few circuits and some nose in hovering as I am still very much a novice in this hobby. The practice all helps, but I need to spend more time on the sim.
