Flew my 550e today (only about the 6th time I've flown her!) and boy was it windy but she held on like a champ (or at least, the beastx did
) Certainly made loops quite a challenge as I'm having to do them so high the wind was throwing her around as she went over the top. Still, it breeds confidence I guess and coming from a 450, I need as much confidence as I can muster with this beast :-)

8 flights on my Logo & 1 on the Wolf. I flew well today aswell so i'm happy. Here's a pic of the ugly Fun-key Rotortech 560's i've put back on my logo. Pic from mobile as i've not got enough space to download a decent one to the laptop.

Two good flights and one not so long. The battery support bracket broke. That's a sport 450 clone part. Not something I check for. I did land it as it wasn't handling too good but couldn't find anything. Next time I'll check it until I do. That's four in a row now.Flasher 450 Sport. Use the wind! I got some silly speeds downwind with my 450 yesterday! I only got two packs through today, ran out of pos collective after a low flip, and just touched the tail enough to strip a tt gear! Get it fixed up tonight!Originally posted by helijohn View PostWent out but not for long as it got really windy. Getting fed up of this wind lately.

Not really but the misses decided it was easy so I said here have a go and handed her the mCPX...in fairness she did get it off the ground in a fairly controlled manner...however she refused to pull the collective down to stop the motor once it had slid into the ground...result of the various mini chicken dances is 2 snapped balls off the swash and game over lol...just hovered it outside to check after fixing so that was my flying for the day

Perfect flying conditions all day here, only given up now because the midge have got the better of me - haven't tried flying whilst wearing a midge net yet.
Can't say how many batteries I put through the mPCx as I lost count, just kept re-charging and flying........ Loads of practice stuff - I'm very happy with the way I'm progressing....
Just need a few more hours on the 500 before the build is complete then comes the difficult bit of setting up. Still, with days like this, the mCPx and Phoenix when its not so good I'm in no hurry..............
Roll on tomorrow............................

Had one miserable flight on the hawk 30.... its shaking like a bast&Rd at the moment. Time to put it up on the shelf and finish the Knight 3D build.
