You might find hovering the plane quite a bit harder in real life than on the sim... I can hover in real life but not nearly under as good control or for as long as I can on the sim.

Of course you could cheat and get a flight stabiliser with 'auto hover'.. like I tried:

As for flying helis, 6 flights yesterday and 6 flights the day before, should be able to sneak a few in today too. My rainbows are getting better, at least they are recognisable as a rainbow now (to me at least).

Another nice day so ventured out after work. Flew a 12s machine on 7s and even with superlow headspeed had some fun for very few mah!

Got a couple of good flights in today before my tail servo horn randomly snapped! It turned out to be really brittle and quite frankly i'm lucky it didn't snap in the air! Also found a neat trick was to se my heated tit-mitt to warm up the next set of lipos before installing them in the heli, way more power that when the lipos are cold!

Not been out flying for 3 months due to a busy work schedule, but pleased to say been out for the last 5 consecutive days. Maybe 30 flights I recon.

Bit rusty over the first half dozen flights but getting better now and closer to where I was with my flying in the summer.

Happy New Year everybody. Maiden flight on my Oxy 3. The build started 3 or 4 months ago so it has been anything but a rush job and it is great to see it finally in the air. The tail wags like a happy dog, ball joints are very tight and the ramp up speed of the motor is similar to the acceleration of a retarded tortoise so still things to do but a great start to my flying year.

First flying day of the New Year and seven happy members braved the cold for a social and some flying. Beautiful sunshine but cold. Great turnout and hopefully a sign of good times ahead in 2017!
