Yes it was lovely! only 4 deg C but with strong sun and no wind, didn't feel cold really, I loved it! a few on a 550 and and a few on a 500 basher.
Very strange when the sun gets low though - the bright pink sideways light makes orientation tricky to my ageing eyes...

Despite the cold the turnout was pretty good at the field yesterday. I had 3 flights on the 500 DFC and finally a good chance to try out the beta Vortex electric gov. A few adjustments made including throttle curve, gain and collective-throttle but pleased with the results so far. I will wait for the official release for the Logo/ YGE as I only want to dig out the prog card once :-)

Plenty of laughs, great banter and a few close calls. Oh and cheers Dean for letting me have a crack on your 700. I will definitely let you let me have another go lol.

Not a bad day for it today, bit blustery but nothing major...

2.5 packs through the 250 before it hit the dirt... Main gear, skids, feathering spindle, for how hard i hit (and on it's side without me having time to hit hold) the damage was minimal, already had spares so thats back together ready for the next outing...

6 packs through the 550, lucky thats all i've got really as I was starting to push it a little on that last pack and that never ends well lol

Had 3 flights at the field today with my 3D quad after installing new gear, Really nice on 4s and the wind never bothered it one bit . Watched Brian(Gixerman) and other chap (never got his name) throw their heli's around . Was a tad nippy though.... Oh and if they wife asked it was packed and the Rubbish Tip

Yes I did - a few on the 550 in a howling wind & the 550 lapped it up. Love that heli.
I hope all this chaos is improving my flying....

2 on the 700e, 2 on the Hirobo shuttle, 2 on the 550 and 2 on the bonkers leap quadcopter.

Almost put the 700 in the trees at high speed after the tail yet again let go on a tail slide and ended up close to the floor at a funny angle!

Four weeks out of the country working and I think the break has improved my skills not diminished them. Still very much the learner and only a Blade 200SRX but everything I wanted it to do it did!

2 on the leap and not quite 1 on the 180cfx. I sadly now join the ranks of those who've stripped servo gears on the things! I put her in pretty hard but managed to hit throttle hold first.

Damage is elevator servo gears, main gear, torque tube, skids, boom and canopy mount.

Six on a Rex 550 and loved it - glorious blue sky and bright sunshine, no wind and not too cold
So how do I make this thing twice as powerful, and get 8 mins flights, and keep using cheap packs??
