I know others have upgraded servos but my thinking is that in a crash, something is bound to break and that will be the weakest point. At least, if the gears break, they're easy to replace and this "saves" the motor in the servo. With titanium gears, the gears probably won't fail, so the servo motor may take a beating...

I'm sticking with the standard setup on the B400 whilst learning even though I'm sure better servos and gyro would help the heli fly better, and are probably needed for better pilots.

I'd rather save the cash towards really good servos and gyro for the next heli when (hopefully!) I won't crash so much, and my flying skills have got a little better...

Whatever you decide to do, enjoy it!!

    All the best

      Thanks alot, Lincoln.
Most people i think go with 3 Hs65mg servo's at around £15/£17 a piece .....i'm sticking with the standard 7.5en gy servo's and just renew the gears if and when i need too unless i either strip one in flight and brake a motor inflight or a crash , then i will buy the Hs65mg's..........i've heard that some people have stripped the 7.5's in flight which would really $iss me off if i were just sports flying stall turns etc.
T3ds Gy240 S3153 with trex500 skids and trex500 fin set plus now with hybridized canopy and Mini Titan canopy body post set P# PV0816.........Now owned by MoJo have fun

I had a nice little batt about with the t3ds today after finishing battening down all the bolts that were loose and re-doing the pitch settings and fitting some new trex450 tail blades , and i must say that it seems to have taken all the sloppyness out of the head and to get the tail to piro faster ive set the travel adjust to 125% and -100% expo though one would think it would be balistic but alass its just workable.

All in all the cnc parts and other little mods i've aquired off of this forum and its a much different "beast" now.....lol everyone for your imput you know who you are!

Yes all it well in the world again.........(for how long though!!) my flying style tends to show up any small weakness that the model may have although its not being 3d just sport flown .........but i just love to make it flapppppp.lol

just wondering, I read this somewhere but I do not remember where, but it said that on my transmitter, the hitec optic 6 sport, that Normal mode is for hovering, ST1 is for forward flight, ST2 is for more advanced forward flight and ST3 is 3D, is this correct? if so, can you guys please give me some basic its for setting up ST1 to start forward flight?

                Thanks alot, Lincoln.
Venom night ranger: Its in the past, I was too young to understand that it was too advanced... I crashed it

                a few years later...

Walkera HM 5-10: flies beautifully, but servos are pretty weak, battery takes AGES to charge.

Twister 3D Storm: still working out the kinks!!!

Brand new Venom Night Ranger II all parts for sale! contact for details.!!!.
