    Hi Callum

    Fantastic progress in just a few flights...

    Definitely take the training gear off - you'll be amazed at how much better it flies. Take-offs and landings are more tricky though - you have to make sure its completely stationary a few inches above the ground before dropping it down. That said, you'll find low level hovering easier without the TG affecting the ground effect.

    I guess we all progress at whatever speed we're comfortable at, but I find crashes tend to happen when I get a little too confident - the "hey, this is easy" syndrome... Of course, I then find it isn't and am on the phone to Hobby Hangar for new bits!!

    Enjoy watching the videos too...

      Excellent Callum, I don't need to make comment on the training legs its been covered.

      But I would just like to add my agreement that a solid knowledge of basics will serve you better in the long run. nothing wrong in slinging it about we all do that, but give yourself a goal of something basic to learn as well, it may be circuits, it may be nose could even be something as basic as being able to hover solidly both on your right hand side and your left.

      But however you chose to progress well done for what you've accomplished so far
      All the best
      Tony.

        Great progress Callum

        I thoroughlly agree with alot of others on here - get the basics sorted properly first Yes, it can be boring but remember:

        Rome wasn't built in a day;
        You can't build a house without foundations;
        All true musicians know their scales backwards...etc etc

        Having said that an artist must be allowed to express himself

        I'm very impressed at your lightning progress, but if you step back and learn to hover properly in all orientations first it will stand you in very good stead. (And save you a fortune in crash repairs)

          I just know that when I progress to a heli capable of 3D I will go for it and be inverted on the first few goes. Its because of Phoenix, it makes me feel like I can pull all these stunts and get away with it - I know in reality I wont though.

            Today, ile be going out in a bit,

            so on my goal list is:

            Hovering
            Circuits
            Landing

            Tho the heading hold gyro will make it alot better,

              i did that and after a couple of sets of blades, feathering shafts, fly bars, blade grips and various other parts i thought i should learn properly lol.

              looking good with the flips.
