For Sale Section ??

Agree or not Mark it allows each member the chance to get his advert seen,instead of being wiped of the front page for 48hrs by guys posting 10+ adverts in a row immediately after him/her posting

Everyone uses the forum in different ways, every ad gets seen if you use the 'new posts' button, the front page is completely irrelevant if you use that route.

If you browse in a different way then the front page may be important to you, and I understand that, just pointing out it isn't the same for everyone.

problem is things change and things move on rightly or wrongly, we can't keep everyone happy, we can only try.
Everyone is different that why we are individuals.

Its not just this forum that's not that busy anymore , I go on a few other forums, non rc ones and they are also quiet, maybe most people are using other social media sites.


Or it could be the nice weather, we will have to see when it starts getting darker and colder

There is one where a question generates page and pages of replies. Now a point to consider is you can have too much written about a topic like 3 pages on flying sitting down!

No sorry thought I had read the whole thread, but missed that, whats it about?

It wasn't me that opened it Brian I merely donated to try and get the ball rolling.. The forum has always had this facility(its how you get the forum sponsor banner on your avatar). Stuart need £250 to add a dedicated mobile app to the forum if guys that want this chipped in it would happen quicker
I prefer the full site but I'm still happy to put money towards this happening,who knows I may even use it if it happens?.
But the main thing is to get people using the forum .Make it a place where people look for advice again,we have lost a lot of very knowledgeable people over the years it would be good to get them back posting.

Agree or not Mark it allows each member the chance to get his advert seen,instead of being wiped of the front page for 48hrs by guys posting 10+ adverts in a row immediately after him/her posting.It also stops the forsale section taking over and impacting the new posts page as it has in the past.The aim being to get us back on track towards a knowledge resource not a trading site,which it was becoming.
As for reducing the visibility of what people have for sale,then surely a little thought put into titling their thread should help?

I'd rather see single item posts when scrolling through the for sale section via the forum tab and not multi item listings the front page. I can see straight away from the title of the post if it is something of interest to me, titles like "many items for sale" "having a clear out" are a pain in the arse..

Good point.... So in that case... Why not take the for sale section off the front page completely, remove the 3 post limit so all items from one seller can be listed separate, bring back commenting on for sale posts.

It would be good to add this link to the gold bar at the top of each page, 1 click and you're straight to the for sale / wanted sections...
