For Sale Section ??

Is it me or does the for sale section seem to have died?
When Tapatalk was working I'd get notifications as I'd subscribed to the for sale thread,
Now I'm not receiving these so I look now and again on the pc,
But there don't really seem to be that much going on...
What are your thoughts?

I've noticed that over the last year or so Tony, a shame but I think overall if people don't post the forum will eventually die. I think the changes of off topic off the main page etc have knocked the stuffing out of any discussion that could go on. Plus facefaggot for some odd reason appeals more as a conversation medium, don't know why but it does.

I have noticed the entire forums gone quiet.

It's just the usual few regulars, gone are the days when there was a full page of ads in the for sale section too I reckon.

Just had a look and from what I can see from the stats, only 29 threads were commented on yesterday (28/08/14).

I wonder if the shops have also seen a dip in sales?

Since the exciting changes in the hobby, with the increase in electric models, the move from flybar to flybarless and the micro CP market, there seem to be very little in the way of new directions. People could simpy have lost interest in the hobby due to lack of new ways to spend their money.

Alternatively people have just gone to another forum, but where?

Why not thin the forum down?
So many sub sections and the sale stuff right at the bottom
Maybe a re jig would freshen it up a wee bit ?

It's summer and prob better things on or left the arm chair to go flying. For sale is slow as seems on here have to give it away. I've had more results/money on bmfa recently which is still fairly active. There is a point where stuff just isn't worth selling so the buy and sell cycle reduces. Kids back to school, nights drawing in things will change.

I wish they would but I seriously doubt they will. There's been a much reduced activity lately over the last couple of years in reality, not sure what the stats say but Ive noticed it. In fairness I think the off topic going from the front page has reduced the traffic but that was for the best. Maybe a lot of what we seen a few years ago was off topic stuff and not Heli related and this is a real representation of the hobby and those that use forums. I often look at the active list and see names that used to post loads and now they don't, wonder why
