I have a friend of my wife's has seen my T-Rex 450 and decided that it would be a great idea to buy one as a surprise present for her husband this Xmas. Once I told her how much the T-Rex cost all up including radio, she decided that it wasn't such a good idea after all!
However, I told her that you can get into heli's for much less money and her budget is £200 max.
For that bugdet, would you recommend a coax heli such as the Blade CX2 or a full collective pitch model such as the Mini-Predator? I skipped this stage and went sraight for the T-Rex with Phoenix, so don't know which is best to recommend.
Also, is there a heli at this price point that you can self build? Knowing this guy, that would be all part of the enjoyment and learning curve for him.
Don't think she realises that one thing leads to another and he'll end up splashing the cash on a T-Rex or similar in the end anyway!
Thanks
Rich

what is it with birds and jewlerry ? You can't drive it or fly it or drink it or eat it....it just sits there....what the hell's the fun in Jewellery ? Maybe I can convince her I bought a 450 for her !!!! (Can't see her buying that to be honest..... Did that with a nice Pirazzi Side by Side 20gauge last year....in very polite terms she told me to blow it out my a55)
