Welcome buddy, hope you've got deep pockets
Your 100 will not bind to a dx8, it has it's own tx; with 2.4 all brands have different protocols unfortunately so having a 2.4 tx & rx doesn't mean to say they are compatible.

oh this is not good, im already thinking about my next heli. It has been suggested to move on to the mcpx, but i think i would like to try a slightly larger fixed pitch so im looking at the sr120, what are they like in out doors flight? im guessing its prob to big for a living room. what do you guys think
cheers mattLast edited by madmodder; 17-11-2011, 07:08 PM.Spectrum Dx6I

Personally an 100 size is good for your orientation. I would rather invest on a good sin and radio and then if you can afford a nice 600 Heli the bigger the betterOriginally posted by madmodder View Postoh this is not good, im already thinking about my next heli. A 120sr is not clever for the living room, unless you live in a very big house!!! It flys ok outdoors when there is no wind but any wind will make it hard for a beginner to control plus it doesn't bounce so well as the smaller ones. When you get good with your fp heli the mcpx or perhaps the new msrx (if you're not confident enough to go onto cp) would be good for your progress. The other thing you should spend on (probably before a new heli) is Phoenix and a decent tx eg dx6i / dx7 / dx8 this is the least expensive way to get experience on the sticks - crashes cost nothing on sims!!!Originally posted by madmodder View Postoh this is not good, im already thinking about my next heli.
