I do believe you will be fine then any way Phoenix it does come with original cable out of the box is the anti piracy policy. Because each cable got its own chip inside. I have to be honest I use it with a dx4 that came with the mcpx is not the top but u can start with that.

I've seen a few posts where users have confirmed that the TX does work with Phoenix.
I'm not sure how you deal with IU or other stuff, I suppose you could program switches on the keyboard

Yes, good choice, but it won't work with the 100, sadly.

Between a 120 and MCPX - mcpx wins it for me. It's just so much better at everything than the 120 and will stand you in good stead for if/when you get a bigger heli

well im not so keen on going straight to a bigger heli, from what i understand 450 size up wards are killing machines, and as i dont want to be responsible for injuring someone else due to lack of flying experiance. so i was planning on starting small and working up in the sizes of heli's. was thinking trex100 then go to a 120sr, then move too a mcpx, then upwards to a trex250 and so on and so forth. am i right in thinking the smaller the heli the harder it is to fly? so with my thought train start small and cheap and work up.

i am also new, i have been told to go bigger, as they are easier to fly, (more stable in the air) I am going for a trex 600 nitro..

I just wouldn't bother with another FP. The 100 is all the FP you'll ever need.
The MCPX is really very forgiving and no more difficult to fly than the 100. It's just a lot faster.

It's true that bigger helis are more dangerous, but, provided you're sensible and don't try to fly before you can, errr, fly, it needn't be carnage.

Trex 250? No - really not for beginners due to it's agility, speed and size. A 450 is far easier to fly and is good compromise between size, speed and crash costs

No FP. If you wont to learn the cp is the way to go. Before the mpcx was the 600 Heli. Now you can start with the blade. But own my experience in three days I was hovering with an rappy 50.

It's a good option. Personally I prefer the 450 Pro to the Sport, but there's not much in it.
Besides, it's a long cold winter coming, not much outdoor flying opportunities and the MCPX will be a nice thing to have, fly it wherever, whenever, within reason of course!

You should be ok going that route, but don't loose sight of Phoenix; it will be the best thing you will buy to save you money - a dx6i is a decent tx for a start; I've got two now and have found them ideal for my purposes (I fly helis and planes).
Gravity is your best and worst friend!
