Whilst elec's are the in thing and I have absolutley nothing against them. I would have to agree that IC would be my prefered route for starting up on a 600 size machine. Just follow the manufacturers settings for initial setup of the engine and your away, fine tuning takes time but by that time your in the air. I've had OS Hypers and now a YS50 no complaints at all with the YS runs sweet and hasn't really moved off the factory setup yet.
Yes you carry more gear around and have the cleaning to keep on top of but for me its all worth it. Plus you can't beat the smell of nitro in the morning.!!

please don't take it the wrong way.... but the club was very 'stuffy' and I'm 39 and was put off .... so I can only imagine what a 'youngster' thinks. BTW anyone who's wondering.....the flying club was on the outskirts of Stevenage and I live in Bishops Stortford.

I still hate getting fuel on my hands and having to clean the oil off the heli, my 600E is well over 12 months old and still looks like new but the factor that swung it was that the two Flightpower 4900 6S packs I use on the 600E are starting to fade after around 130-150 cycles so I was faced with a bill for up to £400 for replacements.
