radio choice

you need t go and hold the TX's before you buy one

they all feel slightly different and you need to make sure you are happy with how it feels in your hands before purchasing and whether the switches are in a comfortable position

for me persornally i have both a Futaba 10C and a 12FG and they feel very similar, i believe the 8FG is smaller and lighter than the 12FG
i dont use a neckstrap so this is not a worry of mine, but if you do then you need to see how they balance ont the strap
i personally dont like the DX6 and think it is horrible to hold, but others may think its great and at the end of the day its what feels right to the individual that counts

and so after that helpful info i will conclude by saying Buy Right - Buy Futaba

PS the Futaba 10C will be for sale as soon as i can be arsed to copy all my models onto the 12

thanks fella u are right i held the 8fg and hated it not seen aurora 9 in the flesh but i just had a quick nose at your old radio (was a quick look too) very nice but i noticed it 72mhz but on the screen is says 2.4 fasst? confussed lol is it both ? as i hate crystals plug n play althe way also if it is 2.4 what would you be looking at for it thanks tel

I had a similar dilemma. My old radio was a Futaba FF8 and pretty much every radio since 1976 has been futaba.
I wanted to convert to 2.4ghz and as the FF8 is not good for CCPM a new radio was required. I looked at the 8FG but in the end decided it wasn't worth having 2 transmitters and as my son wanted an MCPX I opted for the Spektrum DX8. As I needed 4 additional receivers (for now) the lower cost of the spektrum was an added bonus.

hi guys thanks for your helpand confusion lol only kidding sortof lol i decided on 8fg for futureproof and reliability but at last minuite got the aurora 9 purely as it feels so comfortable and the big screen programing it just sits in ya hands lovely

i went with this choice as i belive its the best choice for ME if 8fg type tech is needed later then mabe i get another radio but this 1 is the to learn programming on as im thick lol thanks for all your help and suggestions EVERY 1 see you all soon on how to turn it on thanks again
