I know it isn't in the same class but I can do inverted with the TREX 600 in the FMS flight sim using my Century Elite 4 TX.

Stock up on those blades bud' nothings like real flying even if it isn't as fancy as what's on the flight sim.

      Bump-

Blades came today, fitted them with ease. Went downstairs and had a fly!
It was terrible tho, i was all over the place, i crashed on every flight and it was just generally uncontrolled.
Im really annoyed now, might just sell up and pack it in.

OK ??? This is odd.... you sure you fitted lower blades and upper blades ? Not got two the same ? or changed over motor supplies so the heli doesn't work properly or seems to jam... ? Anything bent or loose ?

start with Day 1 again....bit of power and trim to stop the pivoting left or right.....once that done a little lift off and trim for left and right bank to stop....then again finally trim for pitch , back and forth.... if you're maxed out on any pitch/bank etc. the unscrew servo horn and adjust and put trim back to neutral and go again. Is the battery fully charged....it acts differently on low batteries. TX ok and charged ? Is head wobbly ? (Heli's....not yours ) One of the things I had happen after a light crash was the shaft wobbled....not bent but the bearing had come out of the plastic body holder....there's a grub screw that lock a collar down on top of the shaft bearing... this had got loose..... Don't give up !!!

Took her out for a fly in the garden, was hoving fine above the ground so i thaught id take her up a bit more and as i did a huge gust of wind pulled the little bcx2 upwards and all my controls cut out.

            Damage:
            1 front canopy
            1 landing skid

There may be more which i cant detect tho.

Stay in there bud' your where I was a few weeks back, when I was going to give the show up.

I doubt for a second you've done any permanent damage, possibly bent the shafts, but thats about it mechanically.

I have now given up flying her outdoors, the CX2 is really a indoors heli, and those 100% calm early evenings are very far and in between.

replace the inner and outer shafts, standard parts won't come to much over a tenner, buy a new front canopy another fiver, and a pair of skid a few extra quid.

She'll be back to good as new for around £20, and believe me that's a small repair bill.

Stay in there, you can put a new blade on the assemblies which doesn't balance as good as the older one, this is one of the things about testing and adjusting after new parts have been added.

It would be great if these things auto adjusted for perfect flight, but it isn't a perfect world, but once you start trimming and getting the gain gyro and proportional mixer pots spot on she's a dream to fly, just take note on a piece of paper the (O'Clock) positions the pot adjusters are facing, as if you move it one way and it's worse, land put it back to where it was, then make the same level of adjustment the other way, your get there in the end.

Plus she fly's just fine without the front canopy on while making the adjustments.

Trust me I've been there in the garden, my CX2 hit the garden fence and landed sideways on the patio.

New shafts and blades, all trimmed up, and you'd never know she'd had an accident, plus the red body survived without a scratch which was amazing, but there still delicate little plastic flexi body's, and it doesn't take too much it cause a little crack somewhere.

Touch wood my police body hasn't a mark anywhere, it's only had one crash due to a freak accident with me dropping the controller, but it did cost me new shafts

Now she goes like a bat out of hell.

                  Your be alright mate.

                    • ok its part of micro heli flying that is really gay...crash's just happen and when ur heli's crashing every other flight it gets u down big time......

its happened to me loads...just put the heli aside and take a litttle break from flying it. soon you will forget what u were so depressed about and be itching to fly it again.

in the mean time you must stay reading this forum and learn more and more about the hobby giving you a smoother ride. stay on the sim and look into buying a 50 size heli.

you will enjoy the bigger size heli's alot more. less crash's (so far for me), more flight time (if u go nitro) and bigger thrills.

ofcourse its your choice, but there are my views!
                      cheers,
                      Tom

                      • Ok, i would like to keep learning my bcx2, the crashes dont get me down too much, its the repairs that do. I simply cannot afford to keep it running, having to buy new blades each week as im a student and dont currently have a job.

Anyway, forsale section, go check it out. I will most definately come back to this hobby in a few years anyhoo.

Thank you all for being there for me when i needed you, in simple, your a great bunch of characters!

                        • One last attempt to urge you to stay, would be to say: repair bills each week don't happen after you get over this learning curve.

It gets to a point with this heli forsaking doing something daft and bruising it, where it doesn't cost anything to fly, charge the batt, fly, land put back on it's "heli pad" waiting for the next recharge.

Keep it don't sell it mate, buy the replacement parts over the next few weeks to bring her back to flight.

I know its easy to get carried away with it all, but you'd have been better off buying a few shafts and blades rather than the sim at this point, I'd have done the same at your age mate so it isn't a dig or anything, but your heli is possibly £20 from flying again, so it's not the end of the world if it takes a few weeks to collect the parts, practice on your sim, keep in the game, put the CX2 in it's box and store it away for a few days, right now you need a break from it all.

As for the gear, if your still selling up get a few quid for it mate, I'm not worried at all.

                          Sleep on it Scott.
