Check that all of the links are in place between the servos and the swash, the swash and the mixing arms and the mixing arms and the blade grips. Also check the radius arms are connected between the swash and the washout arms and the links up to the flybar cage.

p.s. you can buy a new antenna.

pps. If you are getting annoyed, now's a good time to call it a night and have another crack at it in the morning.

No - I'm using a DX7. Purely copying radio settings may cause as much of a problem as it solves. Whilst it may give you a basis from which to start, the settings on one heli may vary significantly to another dependant on how well the heli is set up, how accurate the link lengths are, what pitch settings are used etc. etc.

Forgive me for saying so but you really do need to work thru this issue and understand what it is that is happening (or not) and learn how to fix the issues you are facing.

If you cannot do so from viewing the HeliFreak videos or the advice you are getting from here, I strongly recommend that you find someone that can teach you, one on one, perhaps at a nearby club?

I don't mean to preach but I equally don't wanna see you bin the heli on it's maiden flight.

Take a peek at this video. This is the kind of movement you should be getting. Where you see the swash rising up and down but staying level to the horizon, this is what should happen when you push your stick up and down.

I have been trying to setup the swash etc and make sure everything is level, with the dx6i I bought today. Now the orange light on the receiver wont come on,will i have to send it away for repair or will I be able to get a refund from the hobby shop where I bought it?

Have you tried rebinding the Rx to your Tx to see if that works OK?

Also, you mentioned earlier that you had damaged the antenna on the DX6i. Has the antenna completely snapped off, or has it just broken slightly? Using the Tx with a badly damaged antenna could damage the Tx if done for a long time.

I'm not sure why the light won't come on but it could be attributable to a lost bind. Try the re-bind and see if that works.

Failing this I would, in the first instance, contact the hobby store you purched the Rx from. They may just swap it for a new one.

Got any picture of how to change deans connectors. It was partly due to them that I broke antenna.I had to give them a good tug and ended up knocking the tx of the table

Hunt around. I've had a look at Fast Lad and one or two others but they all seem to be out of stock. Take a peek here for what others have done.

When you say "change" do you mean remove the solder joint and resolder a new one, or just to open and close the deans?

If it's the latter, they do take a bit of pulling. After all you don't want them coming apart in flight, eh?

If it's the former, take a peek on YouTube. There a myriad of ways to solder them.

Either a way to make the deans connector less tight so as I dont have to pull so hard to disconnect them.Or A video that will show me how to swap them for other connectors

Not wanting to sound negative, but the whole heli hobby is not just about flying, but learning and understanding how they work and gaining the ability to set them up. It is a steady learning curve of research, trial and error and some frustration. All the information is out there, as well as help on specifics from forums like this. Try googling Deans connectors and finding some answers, rather than expecting others to do the research for you. Watch lots of Helifreak build and set up vids, read and read some more, then try to apply that to what you see on the heli. If you are really struggling, join a club and get some local help with the set up.

I'm not flaming you, purely suggesting that a large part of the satisfaction of this hobby is working through and understanding problems, then ask if you really cannot find the answer.

                            Cheers

The reason I'm asking about the battery is because I had a 45 min lecture from the guy at my local hobby shop yesterday about how dangerous the battery is.And the reason i'm asking on this site is I have only ever had answers that work.I dont want to do anything to a battery without aking you guys first.
I have tried the trial and error,Also I have learnt and watched loads of vids.I had a wreck of a cp gold about a month ago And now it flies(except for the broken tail boom that happened when I dropped it).
I'm not asking anyone to do any research for me its just that I've came to trust this site .
                                Cheers anyways.
