Today I had my first real flight of my 450, what a high and there was a slight wind and my back garden isn't that wide.

I managed to keep her hovering up to 30 seconds fairly easily, in fact apart from the nerves it was almost the same as Phoenix, after a bit I started to get a real high out of this, fantastic.

OK Clare's Heebee bush got a little trimming here and there and I had some power cutoff gentle strikes on a fence panel but that was about it.

Had I more room shit, it would have been f-A.

Just one prob' my belt for the rear rotas has become slack, I'm not sure why but I could hear a funny sound when I was about to spoil up for the last time and when I checked her over the drive belt has become loose.

I've got all the tools here, can anyone possibly please help as to what I do to re-tighten it.

Gently pull the boom outward after loosening the screws around the boom in the frame and then re tighten.

The belt should not quite touch the opposite side when you push one of the belts towards the other.

Never changed the belt on my XL doing this.

Cheers mate, I fear theres another probe, when i power up the heli, when the batt connects the servos make very fast tic-er tic-er sounds, I have the controller on throttle hold, and apart from just tighten up the tail a bit nothing else was different, so I thought.

The esc makes a beep every few seconds apart from that I haven't a clue now.

HELP Please.

Check your throttle hold is set to zero at the bottom.

If not the ESC will not initialise and it will just beep at you.

Don't ask me how I know that one.

Done that mate the throttle is off completely, but the servos are going like crazy making very fast clicky noises, but when I enter left cyclic control it stops them doing it a bit.

Some what confused right now?

Is the ESC still beeping every few seconds?

yes i think so let me check as all the servo are makeing a hell of a racket.

Had I giving it a nasty crash I could understand it but it hasnt.

yes it does, it beeps evey 2 seconds roughly

Do the servos respond normally and does it throttle up? (Be careful checking that one!!)

Yes the servos seem to move when commands are entered but there moving very fast in Small movements, I'm not to keen on turning on the throttle just in case it goes bananas on me

OK when i just connected the battery off they went again clicking away, until i entered reverse cyclic on the TX then they stopped, but started up a few seconds later

even the servo that controls the rear rota moves back slowly when you first start up.

Somethings a bit poorly here I think.

Sounds like interference of some sort.

Only seen this on my Bell 47 if I touch the aerial of the TX. The servo's then pulse.

It could be a duff servo. Try disconnecting each servo at a time and see if the problem goes away making sure you disconnect the battery each time to prevent servo damage.

If you have a heading hold gyro the tail servo can move slowly to one side.

This is normal behavior.

I can't see it being interference as I had her spoiling up inside before I took her out.
