Buying the Futaba 7C 2.4 and Phoenix locally today, will order the Gyro and Servo next week on pay day and also the Raptor 30 v2 kit.

Yesterday's shopping trip did not go to plan. I compared both the Futaba 7C and the Spektrum DX7 side by side and I prefer the look and feel of the DX7. Unfortunately the shop I was at do not sell the charger for the radio so all I bought yesterday was Phoenix but with no tx to use with it.

Tomorrow I will buy the DX7 with charger from a online retailer who are selling both for less than I almost paid yesterday for the tx alone.

I now own a Spektrum DX7 and Phoenix and I must comment on how good a sim Phoenix is, I far prefer it over G3.5 which I had used previously.

Getting more excited now, the parcel containing the kit has just arrived. Excellent speedy service from Susses Models. I think Phil will be sending the gyro and servo early next week

Should I be use Loctite 243? Do you know of anywhere in Glasgow where I can buy this rather than ordering online

                              http://www.bearingboys.co.uk/Loctite...tolerant-823-p

I've also ordered the PV0091 Bearing Upgrade Kit to increase the bearings from 29 to 49. Not really sure if needed but I thought I may as well buy them now before I start the build.

                              Thanks

Hi Sneeks the loctite 243 is in little bubble packs.. a little small dark red tube with a small white lid at your local Halfords store..just make sure you dont lift the wrong one as they also have the Red Stud/brg lock...Best look for the 243 on the tube.

BTW use it sparingly..you only need to apply a little on the first 2-3 threads. It's a lot easier to sit a blob on a scrap bit of plastic and use a small screwdriver or similiar to apply.

Might see you at Cumbernauld tomorrow Brian
