I have just turned on the dual rate.

I had 0% for aile, elev and rudd thinking it was a beginner setting.

    Whats the best settings for
Aile and rudd for indoor use.

Also what do the + values after each setting represent ?

    Thanks.

The mcpx is deceptively quick for a small heli. You might want to consider taking it outside - it'll handle a fair breeze no problem. Whilst you're learning, keep the tail pointing towards you so that the cyclic controls are nice and easy!

Use 70% dual rate as a start + means it is a positive value. Hard to describe, but a + value on Expo or dual rates means it's easier to fly. less sensitive

-ve values mean you are setting it up to be harder.

+30% expo means you soften it by 30% around the centre stick point

        - 30% means you are making it more difficult and challenging to fly

Futaba Tx owners will read that the other way round.

Put +35% expo on aileron and elevator

        Leave rudder at 0%

Extended boom definitely required when you want to progress to inverted stuff.

Im still waiting on my sim dongle and a decent day to try it out, since fixing it up and levelling out the new swashplate. Watch this space (but not too often based on this rate)

Well after spending a few hours on the Pheonix simulator, and perfect weather i decided to take her out for a spin.

I have got the hang of hovering now, but seem to have a servo issue that manifests itself when i go above 70% throttle.

One of the servo's seems to glitch and jumps down from the position of the rest of the servo's

I will try and take a video of it, for additional info.

I have recently fitted alu swashplate, and grips etc....and new servo push rods.

Not sure if any of the above work could have caused it, or if i9 have damamged a servo.

Any ideas in the mean time feel free to let me know.

Just spray it with some Deoxit or similar switch cleaner. Or take the white plastic strip off and clean the connect strips with isopropanol and a q tip. These servos get dirty and oxidize on the contact surface and a good clean sorts them out. There are plenty of write ups on it and videos on HeliFreak forum...

Thanks. I will delve deeper into the issue tonight.
