Guys, we have been looking into the throttle low option. Some good news and some bad news.

The bad news, we cannot add the "throttle low option" with the present program in a bootload. That chip, we have 4 different chips in the Total G to help speed up processing, is presently not bootloadable. The good news is we can easily add that option in a program in a new unit. If someone gets a Total G and wants the throttle low option we can ship them a replacement unit along with a return label package to get the other one back to us. And if you know you want the throttle low option before purchasing one, just tell your dealer and they can order one that way. The only downside of ordering the throttle low version is it may take a little longer than the standard one as they are presently not in the system.

It is not an ideal solution, but we will make sure you get a "Throttle Low Option" if you want one.

I hope that helps and sorry to anyone that this whole subject has confused.

        Nice one Curtis

Is there a date we can send off for our replacements? The replacements are new I take it, not ones sent back and 'modified'?

I have to say this is brilliant service and backup.

A manufacturer that is actually listening to what its customers want and changing a product and all within 5mins of it being released.

          Thumbs up Curtis

I have the units to reprogram and I will need to setup the station for programming at our company. It is easy to reprogram but you have to setup a computer and open up the units to get to the chip. So you want a nice clean place to work.

I do not get back into the US until September 10th. So it would likely be the 13th before we could send units out with the "Throttle Low" option. Sorry if the delay causes anyone problems.

If you would like a replacement for a Total G you have, please email Tech@curtisyoungblood.com (Brian) so we will be able to process it as quickly as possible.

So how will the throttle position work with the update,
will the throttle position set during binding be the failsafe position,
with all other channels being last position held?

Basically like a normal spektrum/jr receiver.

              Tim.

It will have the throttle go to a low position and hold the rest of the servos at last position.

The way I read Curtis was if we send our units back they will reprogram them and return. So it's not new, it's your original one with a new bootloader installed.

Seems like you can use the one you have until u get a replacement.

Looks like I read it wrong, KnifeEdge is right...

Which brings us back to the original question, is the replacement a new unit?

We plan to replace them with a new unit in the interest of time. If someone is not in a rush they could send it in and we can reprogram it.

But for those who want it now, which I understand why several would be in this position, we would send a new unit and ask the original unit be sent back in our return envelope.
