hope you don't mind this beginners silly question but why do you attach a satellite receiver to your helicopter is it a bit like using a gps
is it so you can some how down load the flight info onto a computer mapping program
        or some other reason

The beastx with the use of a satellite receiver can be standalone and you can then use it as Rx and fbl unit rather than a separate receiver and fbl unit. Only recommended for 450 sized machines.

Does this defo work with micro beastX ? Only reason i ask is a purchase a 3d-h which came with a satalite lead which looks sim to yours but it won't work with either micro beastX or 3d-h. I was going to spend the £15 and get correct lead its just a little pricey for a cable.

The beastx has the receiver built in the micro beastx does not have the receiver built in so you either have to conect a receiver wich uses a quite few cables to connect, but a satelite reciever has ony a plug and a small lead so makes wiring a lot tidyer and because of it small size makes a neeter job. The satellite receiver does not use satelites it is just a receiver. The name is a little misleading.

The term satellite in this context means a unit around the main receiver. Ie. It's a satellite to the RX. It is NOT a receiver of satellite signals from space !
