It is the same as the DX7s but not the DX7.

I'm all for playing it safe, especially with the very large packs we use for electric models, but there are a lot more lipo packs around in various items of equipment than you might at first think.

The internal charge circuit runs at 200mA but I still think it is going to cause problems if used overnight when the pack isn't close to empty.
Whilst I totally get ya on the above, it doesn't take a big lipo to cause a big fire, lots of household goods have Liions in them but of the ones that do have polymers in them I'd feel a little happier leaving a product in the house made by a company who I could take to court eg Apple or Samsung (if I was still alive!) rather than Turnigy which I think might be fruitless. I do remove anything I can think of from the house that might contain a lipo, even my Hubsan X4 lives in the van :-)

Dell had a bit of an issue when they first started putting lipos in laptops did they not! and if dell can screw it up and cause fires I'm certain Spektrum can.

The other thing with a mobile is that it's always within a couple of meters of me when indoors and if it went up at least its likely I'd see it happen.

If the internal charging circuitry only charges at 200 mah, which I totally believe you that it does, it would explain the heat but I only ever charge my battery for a max of 5 hours and it lasts weeks between charges, though I tend only to fly around an hour each time I fly, maybe 3/4 times per week when the weather allows.

          :-)

If your stood over them, cool. But I hope you don't have any pets you don't want BBQ'd!
I know how unlikely it is to happen but the writing is on the wall.
