Configuring Gyro channel on JR PCM9XII to work with AR6100e rx

I have a PCM9XII( with 2.4 module) and I have been able to configure and set the correct operation of all the channels except the Gyro. The only channel not been used on the RX is the Gear channel. But I cant seem to be able to change the TX so that I can set the values on the Gear channel to allow me to switch between HH and normal and set the gain for each mode.

Any ideas or pointer please, I cant be the only one using a PCM9XII with an AR6100e RX.

I done a little reading and starting to think I may need a 7 ch receiver to set this up properly, but thought i would ask before spending the money.

Im a little surprised if it cant be done as I brought this second hand and it came with settings for a DX6, which is obviously different to my PCM9XII. I would of thought i could configure it to be like a DX6, but cant seem to work out how.

If you default the 'model' setup then use in travel adjust 'gear' as your gyro gain set it to about 70 or less so when gear switch is up your in HH flick down your in rate mode.

hi, What i can tell you is you CAN do it using the gear switch, I have the same tx and used it with the same rx on a 450 i had. I am in work atm so cant give you any more info, but will put some pointers up later/ tommorow when i have looked at tx

I have now succesfully set the gyro up using this method. Needs fine tuning but I dont have the space in my kitchen to do that.

You must make sure that the Gyro Sens option is turned off in the Device Menu. If it appears in the main model menu then it's still active in the Device Select Menu - be sure to turn it off there. Then, use the -100 to +100 travel on the gear travel to set either two different heading hold gains or one heading hold and one rate mode.

Also be good suggestion is to turn off pitch trims in Device Select 'pitch' & change to, inh
