Piece of cake matey, very easy to adjust as I like my sticks quite loose.

      Lovin' the DX8.

Cool, my main worry is getting the grips back on right really.

Nah.. its all good - when you take the grips off there are locating pins on the back of the rubbers, just press them back into place.

If you can keep your head, when all others around are losing theirs - you have probably not understood the seriousness of the situation!!

Had mine off several times now and it still looks and performs as brand new.

            Probably because it is.

Certainly the best value radio out there at the moment.

            Telemetry is awesome too.

Finally got round to getting my Knight set up with the telemetry module, and after binding the receiver to my radio the Tx says DSMX in the corner, even though it was bought as a DSM2 set. It has had the upgrade done so I know it is compatible with DSMX receivers, but was surprised to find the rx that came with the radio is already DSMX! Anyone else find this?

Yeah the AR8000 is supposed to already be DSMX.

Yes the DX8 will automatically recognise a DSMX rx and set up accordingly. It bound to the supplied AR8000 and it connected as DSMX, I then bound to two other rx's (a 6110, 500 and a 6100e) and all connected as DSM2).

                    Cheers,
                    Simon

Finally put my 550 onto the DX8 - all models now on the DX8 and everything is working as it should. I may sell the DX6i or maybe I should keep it for using on phoenix..... decisions decisions.

                      Cheers,
                      Simon

I'd keep the -6 for sim use Simon.
BTW, I had a fiddle with a mates JR DSX9mk2 the other day, and that felt pretty good too!!!

I used to do that, but came to wondering:
                            1. Do I want to use my new toy (DX8) just at weekends (at field), or everyday (on sim) ?
                            2. Does it makes sense to fly with a different Tx to what I use on the sim ?
I'm now using a DX8 for everything (except tiny Walkera), and really love it.

Sim use does expose it to a bit more risk of accident, but it's not extortionately priced; and I think I'd rather get my money's worth out of it than end up with a pristine Tx in a couple of years that I fancied upgrading.

The sim is also good for playing with all those features...

I use my DX8 for both sim and in the field now.

How else do you get used to the feel of it.

I just upgraded my software on reading your post and can confirm that I now have DSM2 in the top right corner of my screen (wasn't there before!)
