Piece of cake matey, very easy to adjust as I like my sticks quite loose.Originally posted by PeteStewardson View PostAnyone adjusted the tension on the sticks? Just wondering how easy it is to get the grips back on right.

Nah.. its all good - when you take the grips off there are locating pins on the back of the rubbers, just press them back into place.Originally posted by PeteStewardson View PostCool, my main worry is getting the grips back on right really. If you can keep your head, when all others around are losing theirs - you have probably not understood the seriousness of the situation!!

Had mine off several times now and it still looks and performs as brand new.Originally posted by PeteStewardson View PostCool, my main worry is getting the grips back on right really.
Probably because it is.
Certainly the best value radio out there at the moment.
Telemetry is awesome too.

Finally got round to getting my Knight set up with the telemetry module, and after binding the receiver to my radio the Tx says DSMX in the corner, even though it was bought as a DSM2 set. It has had the upgrade done so I know it is compatible with DSMX receivers, but was surprised to find the rx that came with the radio is already DSMX! Anyone else find this?Trex 500ESP - Scorpion motor, CC ice 75 esc. Spartan Quark gyro, Std Align servos
Knight Sport - Spartan/BLS251, Hyper 50, 3050's on cyclic, 3D mixer arms
Outrage Fusion 50 - Viper 700kv, 14t, Align servos, Spartan, 8s, Hobbywing 100HV. Maidened - Love it, set up to fly really smooth :-)
Gootch 450SEv2 built and flown, very nice heli :-)

Yes the DX8 will automatically recognise a DSMX rx and set up accordingly. It bound to the supplied AR8000 and it connected as DSMX, I then bound to two other rx's (a 6110, 500 and a 6100e) and all connected as DSM2).

Finally put my 550 onto the DX8 - all models now on the DX8 and everything is working as it should. I may sell the DX6i or maybe I should keep it for using on phoenix..... decisions decisions.

I used to do that, but came to wondering:Originally posted by BladeStriker View PostValue on second hand 6's will be poor,i keep mine for the sim and the 8 for suday best
- Do I want to use my new toy (DX8) just at weekends (at field), or everyday (on sim) ?
- Does it makes sense to fly with a different Tx to what I use on the sim ?
Sim use does expose it to a bit more risk of accident, but it's not extortionately priced; and I think I'd rather get my money's worth out of it than end up with a pristine Tx in a couple of years that I fancied upgrading.
The sim is also good for playing with all those features...Yes, it's th@ tw@ Scallyb@...

I just upgraded my software on reading your post and can confirm that I now have DSM2 in the top right corner of my screen (wasn't there before!)Originally posted by murph View PostFinally got round to getting my Knight set up with the telemetry module, and after binding the receiver to my radio the Tx says DSMX in the corner, even though it was bought as a DSM2 set.
