Thanks very much, guys. I think maybe the site I was looking at may be misleading then. But you've cleared it up. C'mon the DX7!

Sorry RonOriginally posted by boggie View Postbugger ive just spent twenty minutes saying that Chris

I reckon a lot of these Myths about the DX7 come from people who are very set in their ways with the 35mhz system and have preconceptions about how it works..
The simple thing is that the system is pretty much bullet proof and i have not read about any real issue to date with it
All i know is i totally love mine, especially on the electrics, the piece of mind it gives you is very comforting,,we have had a couple of frequency issues at both my clubs recently with new people walking around switching Tx`s on without realising there is a protocol to be followed,a couple of the fliers were worried but i didnt really care in the way that they did as i knew i couldnt be shot down in any way

n/p mate
mine was a bit long winded!!
im certainly glad i bought mine, when i decided to start with this hobby i was tempted to buy the cheapest of every thing and then slowly upgrade but got the dx7 cos my l.h.s told me it was the last one in stock and would not be available again for a while.(this was sept last year) and i believe he still hasn't got any.

Right, I think I've landed a good deal. I asked for the guys number, so that I could get a deal off him. (Ebay seller in the US). Called him - good guy. Helpful. He cut me a good deal.

Actually, I think I use all 7 channels. So 6 would be insufficient. Does the AR7000 fit into the Trex?Trex 500CF - GY401 with S9254, HS-5245MGs, Torque Tube, AR7000..

the 7000 would fit but the remote reciever may be a little hard to find a home for, I use the 6100 in my 450SE and it works perfectly. not a single glitch since installing it. i'm using the new recievers in all my stuff as I finish it now.
A really fantastic radio youll love it crailisAll the best

Also if you go for the 6100 make sure it has the v1.2 silver sticker onit or you will have to send it back to be upgraded as the non v1.2s have a bug in themGaza07

"people who are very set in their ways with the 35mhz system and have preconceptions about how it works.."
So that'll be the plank fliers then all aged about 50+ then :P Or Gimmers if you prefer a shorter description.
You get 'em at every flying field, the doomsayers, this will never happen, that new fangled tech will never work, yada yada yada. I'm surprised they accept 35mhz and arent still on control lines and free flight chuck gliders with cox engines.
