Well it was bound to happen, so here is the first of I'm sure many posts asking this question. What sort of temperature should you be peaking at on a 91sr, and also an OS55?
I've just been out for a test fly of a new (2nd hand half gallon old) engine and also to test the telemetry which I've just installed on the N9, and while I only had 1 tank and only had a quick fiddle, I saw a max temp of 121 degrees c, but the engine was still rich, back plate cool, and bogging on sustained tic-tocs; I could see and hear it's gonna want leaning a touch more. I've installed the temp sensor in the top fin of the engine case, pushed in nice and tightly between the fins.
I'm really looking for answers from people who have already run theirs DX8 telemetry, but all replies welcomed. I remember the carb smart having 4 settings from 90-130 degrees c, so I must be in the right ball park.
