Chris you also have to bear in mind that 2.4 is not totally glitch free, according to reports. Loads better than 35/40Mhz but not glitch free

Yeah guess that is true, so lets hope the DX9 arrives as well or a module even though they swear blind its not gonna happen.

They said the same about air systems when the surface stuff came out

Mines been cool so far and so has everybody elses who i fly with,,maybe there are issues but i have not encountered any,,bet the glitching is onboard issues like dodgy servos or gyro getting static off belt etc as opposed to rf noise hitting the receiver

        maybe wrong though,,,usually i am

I must be the odd one out,,i hate the 9x and would also hate a Speccy version,,too many switches to get in the way of my fingers

im like the clean uncluttered look,,

Would never have bought a PCM9X so i suppose thats why i am over the moon with the DX7

All the switches i DO need and NONE that i dont

          Bliss

Oh sod it,,the input battery on my Chameleon has gone flat AGAIN!!!!

          not bliss

You can change the flat batt alert on that to 10v but I can't remember how...

Cheers,,i will get some courage up and look at the instruction book again

              wish me luck

              Phil

Maplins do a 13.8 volt mains power supply in 2/4/6/8/and 10 amp versions

i assume a 10amp one would run the Chameleon,,i assume if i charge a Lipo at 4amps its pulling 4 amps from the input supply,,,am i correct???

              cheers

PCM9X is the best radio out there for the money bar none On this I think you must be in a small club. There are a few bits that are crap but the good well and truly outweighs the poop...main reason I have a PCM9X and a PCM9X2

2 people i fly with have them and i regularly use them to fly their models,,

Its a good radio and the programming is easy granted

personally i would not want one though,,i like idle up on the left and hold on the right and not all those other switches everywhere to try and manouver my fingers round

You can make a reasonable PSU out of an old PC PSU but I choose to buy something robust. Not sure about the Maplins ones ones but if you are charging at say 4A you can assume charger will draw around 6-7A

There are some available from the usual sources, I've tried 2 and they were poo

Of course there are changes - in electronics you can't keep up - But at my age you can't hang about .

Same here, I thought the DX7 was the other way round.

Is the AR6000 just for micro heli's and shock flyer thingys

                            Simon.

                              Simon

The AR6000 is for as you said

There is now an AR6100 which is smaller for the same models as above but it is DSM2 so better, also only 6 channel still and of course the AR7000 for the bigger stuff

AR6100 has the range but its not recommended for anything over micro size

A friend has one on his T Rex 450se(AR6100) and its brilliant and range is as far as you would ever want

I cannot recommend the DX7 enough,,ive used 3 different peoples on various models as well as my own on my Knight Sport,Raptor 50 and T Rex 600,,all are perfect,,the more i use the Tx,the more i like it

Its lighter than most Tx`s but you soon adapt to this

I have 2 models on 35meg still but these will be Spektrum in a month or 2

                                Hi,

Yeah, I wasn't sure if the AR6100 had sort of replaced the 6000 guess it's better to go for a 6100 then.

Still deciding if I should change to a DX7 and loose the 9C ????

                                Simon.
