Spektrum DX7 --- Binding proceedure

Hoping the DX7 experts are reading this -- with the Rx's installed in the Trex600 -- If needed again how do I go through the Binding Proceedure when with this installation I don't use the stock switch harness?
Tried using the Binding Plug into channel 7 of the main rx but this did not work . So used an external nicad via the stock switch lead.
Check pic and comment on Rx positions - worried about the carbon side frames blanking the signal.

You need a switch harness with the charge lead and signal wire on it to bind

Once it actually bonded you can use any switch etc,you just need something like the one supplied to actually bind it...

You will only need to rebind if you need to adjust the throttle failsafe position


I assume you know how to carry out the binding as per the instructions...


Rx positions look fine,just do a good rangetest at different model orientations to ensure its OK...


You have perfect antenna positions there also,main one going left to right and slave Rx one going front to back

that's exactly how I did mine (rx positions) and it's been rock solid.

G-Dave- thanks for your pic of your dx7 installation-will make my build easier now I can see how its done-, question- is that a data logger between the two recievers and did you use the DS821 servo's that ship with the DX7 ??

that's a 601 gyro control box

Yes that's the Futaba 601 gyro Amp. between the Rx's-- the servos are Futaba S9250 Digital's - would have used the 821's but all I did was change the Rx's so these servos were in the heli already. I do like Futaba servos for preference.

I have the 9XII and I'm now using the DX7. Only pain is buying new rx for all the models.

Yeah,I know what you mean mate- Skyline models had some AR6000 in stock-and with the amount of models I've got, we are talking over £500 to equip the lot - in the end I bought 3- will just use velcro and transfer as required, I'll say this though, after my 1st flight with the system in a mini funtana,could not believe how locked in it feels- the slightest touch shows an instant response,probably will tighten up the stick's and add a bit of expo,otherwise,its the dogs nuts!!!- next few days I'll try it in my trex 450se..
