was planning to get at least one of the helis sorted for this weekend, to give it a try.
only worried about the idle thing as im going for a time to be using both DX7 and DSX9 and they are on different sides
    All the best

I bought my first DSX9 the same time as busterboy and got sooooo used to the switche positions - flying with another TX, I'd crash and end up hitting Idle up thinking it was Throttle hold. Sold my 9 and was using a 6I for about 6months and still didn't get use to the switch positions. Back to the DSX9 now and feel so much more at home.

Took me about a week, plenty of time on the SIM and don't even think about switch positions now... the 9 is far superior Tony and gives so many more options if you so wish.

e.g. 5 IU's with individual rates, giving you chance to set one up with a slow piro rate to perfect that chaos!!

When you occasionally fly with your DX7 or someone elses just don't give yourself need for the TH !!!

Ahhh - I see the screw-up fairy has visited us again!

Sorry Not trying to put you against it hehe. I just really did find it hard to convert back to having swtiches on the oposite side. You on the other hand may not have an issue at all

When you`re flying hold is the one that`s not already pulled back.

Arrived yesterday & last night setup 4 heli's into the DSX9 its that quick also lowered the sticks to give same travel feel as my DX7 it has a very good screen display I think Im going to get on withit really well.
Today's outlook is fine for flying.

The servo centres will be different between the 2 radios but everything else (curve values, end points, servo travel directions, gyro gain etc) should be the same. If you choose to re-centre each servo using a bit of sub trim then they will all require the same amount which is about 20 points I think from memory.

I recently upgraded my Tx from DX7 to DSX9. The DSX9 is much nicer…. And more capable, but to be honest whether is it worth 2 ½ times the cost is highly debatable! I justified it (to myself) with the fact that the sticks feel nicer, and the build quality is that little bit better, and it is more flexible, and has 9 channels – it will probably be the only Tx I will now ever need and I can grow into it (channel wise) in the future if I ever need to.

I too having bought it did not use it for a month because of having to re-program all my models, but in the end I spent a wet Saturday afternoon doing it and getting used to the different programming – which is actually very easy and intuitive.

So my DX7 (in as new condition with only about 30 hours of use) is now all boxed up and ready for a well known auction site.

Is the DSX9 a good value for money upgrade for the DX7 – for a Sport flyer who will not exceed the 7 channel limit, no; but if money is no object then yes!

I used the setup details from DX7 for each heli & out them into the DXS9 then bind each heli bingo! no need to make any adjustments setup up is bang on.

I was not aware of any Servo center differences moving from DX7 to DSX9 except for the dual servos set for Flapperon on my planks. However I did not pay too much attantion!

My Outrage G5 is no different though - but again I have a Helicommand on that so that may have masked it?

Snaproll... Love it, one of my favourite features of the DSX9 at the moment. Perform some wicked snap moves all at flick of a switch.

Same on a 9x and 10x. I have flown the same heli on both the DX7 and 9x and hated the sticks on the 9x. The heli feels very sluggish on a 9x/10x. obviously the power isnt directly changed, but the extra range almost makes it feel spongy shame really as the DSX9 is a beautiful radio, I just wouldnt get used to it.

I think it is so you can swap modes?? so the stick have equal travel?

What I have noticed with the DX9 is my 250 is no where near as twichy due to I think is the extra stick movement.
