  • DX7 vs DSX9

Should get my JR DSX9 tomorrow what I need to know is can I put my DX7 setup details into the DSX9 or would I need to start the setup all over again with each heli.
Also any over info with the DSX9 that would be useful.
Today's outlook is fine for flying.

What's your reason for swapping back

End to end / Full travel on the stick movement is much further on the DSX9 than the DX7.

Very nice excellent radio but I do like the shorter travel on the DX7 so trying that for a few weeks before I make my mind up.

So far the DX7 is winning easily for ease of use.

                  Interesting Tim
personally I just did not like the overall feeling of the DX7 or the fact the hold and idle up switches were on different sides to my 9X

Interesting thread. I'm toying with looking for a DX7 soon. Will either go used or wait for the exchange rates to stabilise and bring the prices back down.

As my now 18 month old DX7 is getting knocked about wearing here and there and the case is starting to fall apart I thought it time to update so ive just got a DSX9 its been sitting there about a week now and for some reason im a little hesitant about changing everything over so I know its going to have to be a model at a time jobbie.
all the times ive used oter peoples 9's ive thought how nice they are but again a little concerned about the TH and idle being on different sides.
                        All the best
                        Tony.

The TH and idle being on different sides shouldn`t be a problem after a few flights. When ever l`ve had to change l`ve put a piece of fuel tube about an inch long on the hold switch so l can feel it. Worked for me anyway.

You will feel a difference Tony believe me.

The gimbals are much smoother (bearings rather than bronze bushes) and the radio is a dream to scroll through the menus and set functions.

As I quoted along with a couple more sponsored pilots I know have changed back to the DX7 because of the excess travel on the sticks on the DSX9.

Try it for yourself mate, You will notice more when executing manouvres that want "Full throws" on the sticks.

I think it could be better if sticks have more travel especailly with my Beefers.
