Might be worth giving macgregor a ring. There is also the graupner MX22 which is a 9x case with different software.

I am pretty sure that the different versions you speak of is purely switch position and throttle ratchet.

one thing i forgot to mention was that with the JR you can transfer models through the buddy lead. However you can only transfer from 9x2 to 9x2. not to the older 9x or an imported 9x2 to a UK 9x2

You can buy the data xchange software that will pull models off and onto all JR txs. Mark Christy is the man for that.

Futaba you have to buy a campac but even then you can only transfer to/from radios of the same type.

I've had both the Futtie 9c and the JR 9x. I prefer the feel of the sticks on the 9x over the 9c but as Ade say's there really isnt that much between the 2.

You have one of the most powerfull radios money can buy why swap? I have a profi 4000 and it is superb also have the synth/scanner module in mine so what more could you want? There isnt many radios out there that can compare for configurability etc.

I have planes and helis programmed into mine and its no problem at all, what is the rudder/tail fault? if its faulty why not get it sorted by Mike at the MPX repair place?

            Hi and welcome!

I have both Futaba FF7 and JR X2610.

Like the sticks on the JR but the Futaba beats it in all other departments.

Just my 2p and I realise you guy's are talking about a different price bracket but I thought I'd keep the content relevant.

            Cheers

I know just how flexible the 4000 is - it can do anything, but.........

I bought it off a club mate who had troubles with various Futaba gyros (a 502 and a 601) in his Millenium heli. He got a Futaba 9Zap a couple of years ago, and all his problems disappeared, just like that. I bought the Multiplex from him and once I got my head around it with planes, I set up one of my helis and found that I too suffered with some tail problems (different to his problems, but still problems anyway). I found that I couldn't stop the tail drifting one way in heading hold mode. This happened with both a CSM gyro and a Futaba gyro. I could then fly the same heli imediately with my other tranny, and no problems at all.

Anyway, I've bought the JR 9X now for £280 with a synthesised module and a 2700 mAh battery pack, spent all night last night setting up models and used it for the first time today. Just love the feel of it - the sticks are quality. And, the 9X is pretty flexible, so I don't think I'm really going to miss that much about the Multiplex in the long run.

I'm now down from 2 trannies to one which was the whole point of the exercise, so success there. Just gotta sell the Multiplex and the Sanwa now.

                  Inwoods

I drive up and down the A14 right past their shop several times a week, so do the majority of my modelling business with them (apart from stuff that I order from elsewhere online). Also, he is the biggest seller of MacGregor stuff in the UK, so can offer the best prices on said gear..... or so he tells me anyway!
