I've used DX6 But as I've always been a JR the DX7 takes its place, setup on the DX7 is based on JR, user end of both TX's are much the same.
Today's outlook is fine for flying.

Both DX7 and DX7SE are much better than DX6 (CPU, display, case,,,). But I like the Scroll Bar one hand programming so I have got DSX9 in 2007.

yep i got pcm dx9 the only thing i don't like is the two trim like switches at the top left and right sides i found i always moved them when holding the tx , dont no if the new 2.4 is the same great set though good screen to & the scroll wheel like that to

Is the DX7SE a better bet than the DX7 ?

I got the impression that for most people the SE offered no advantage, and didn't work with a lot of Spektrum RXs. (?)

I've been flying with a 9XII for a couple of years now and the first thing I do when setting up a new model is to disable the trim switches (?) using the devices menu.
