I've voted no for both Spectrum/Futaba..I have both and have never attributed a crash to a Rx/TX fault with either system.

Spectrum, I had a brown out on the 500 (not the radios fault but that is a model fault) Lost an aerial..later RX's have adressed this.

The DX7 occasionally wont lock on if the Tx is placed closely to its RX but doing your control check should pick this up..

I've seen a few folk get caught by this as other lights indicating power in the system (like the Gyro light) fooling you into thinking it's connected OK. Do a control check

          Spectrum has Model Match

Some early 7C? Futaba systems had a problem if the power was cycled quickly at boot up causing the coding to default to 0000000 Then if two of these Tx's were switched on you were stuffed. Ripmax re-called, 100's poss even 1000's to sort this mess out.

No model Match on Futaba so remember your pre-flight to check the model memory and do a control check

I'm happy to fly either system

          BUT DO A CONTROL CHECK

I'm sure you get my point...LOL

thats incorrect, NO 7C was released in the uk untill the new firmware was installed

but that was a problem for the early 6ex's, there was a recall and every owner got a new 6ex

Could you make these Sticky's for a while so they don't get lost in the ether.

Got to see the futaba 10c today (thanks to SimonV6)

I like the Large BACK Lite screen far better than the 12FG's!

                    Feels good in the hands.

if your not going for the 12FG defiantly worth looking at.

Only thing I'm not found of is the aerial... But on Naff ryder there is a mod that can be done apprently to make it better.

This is the trouble Mark, Making modifications to a brand new TX.

Buy a JR or a Spektrum it works out of the box wanting no modification.

So does the 10c, it doesn't need a modification, only for people that don't like the ariel postion.....not a problem for me

works straight out of the box and no problems

                            Sorry,

It Doesn't NEED the Mod, it would only need doing if you wanted it to look a bit better and thats personnel choice, it works fine as it is

But the aerial is the only thing I'm not found of on it, everything else no bad parts etc and looks better than the 12FG no plasticy stuff.

I love that clear big backlight screen though

I'd rather have a 10c than Spektrum or JR set

Actually I'd almost say i'd rather have a 6exa than a spekturm set....

Saving grace for the Spektrum sets is of course the multitude of B and F toys coming out, I've yet to see any for Futaba. I know it's a minor point but looking at the poll there are very few % wise using it so it will be a while before stuff arrives. A bit like game ports on the Mac

But then again you prefer a MAC computer over a Bill Gates special Mark.
