who really needs more than a DX7 will do

For me, feel has a lot to do with it. I flew a friend's heli a couple of weeks ago on a DX7 (first time I've tried one), and I found it very light, plasticky and with a horrible pitch control stick feel.

I lurrrve the feel of my 9xii - beats all but the top end Futaba sets hands down, and the DX7 just doesn't come close.

Also, I like many others also fly planes, so the versatility of the 9 channel set can have other advantages over a 7 channel box.

Is that worth paying for? I think so, to a degree.....

he's talking about cyclock for £50 I think, although I don't think the feature set differences between a DSX9 and DX7 are to do with CCPM mixing. More to do with extra two channels, more switches, better stick feel and extra functions for planks.

Just guessing though.

I agree with all the posts about the price being too high.
But, once you see the sexy black box it comes in . . .

Seriously I do think they are charging more than its worth for what is essentially an old design that said, I can understand the certification cost due to laws of this blessed land.

I feel badly effectively being one of those supporting the price by buying, but I’ve been waiting for four years for a decent transmitter.

One other thing to note is that they come with a new black cased receiver (not the red that you may have seen). This seems to have much more flexible aerials than the usual Spektrum ones. Anyone else notice that? Should prevent the aerial damage problems.

Yeah I think he's confusing it with the high end Futaba Tx's

DX7 is a good set for the money but a 9X2/DSX9 it certainly is not
