Are they the same servo, some say yes and some say no. The specs IE voltage but some threads say the same servo

Yep, that's what I've heard too. My experience is that they work fantastically well, but are quite 'thirsty' for electrical power in flight.

I had a little mishap in the smog last night and done a servo. The only spare I've got without replacing the whole 3 cyclics is an 8717 to go along with the 8915's. The only disparity I can find is that the voltage is quoted differently between the 2

I think the fact it states that it's a different number for USA and Europe and that's it is enough for me, cheers Brian
