Revlock 20 help

I had a Revlock 10 as a first governor and it was controlling an OS50. It worked perfectly. When I changed the engine to a YS50, the engine would hunt and not work whilst the governor was enabled. I changed the governor to a TJ Pro and the pair worked fine.

I know the Revlock 20 was produced with better programming to fix these issues but maybe you just have one of those engines that doesn't like that governor.

Ive tried it with a YS91sr and am using it with an os 90 hz pumped engine at the mo and had the same problem with both

i do have another unit if you want to eleminate that??? was fine??? but welcome to try it

Im sure the govs fine mate,as i say its not the first time its happened but cheers for the offer

I had the same problem with my revlock 30
Worked perfectly with a 50 hyper,
Swapped to a YS56 started to hunt.

I have dropped the gain from 12 o'clock to 10 o'clock. That's stopped the hunting,
Just need to fine tune it.

Have you given Colin a ring Tony??
He's your best bet.

Definately have a play with the gain control. Thr gain on my OS 50H with a RevLock 10 was set too low and the engine tended to bog then overspeed in large sweeping manouvres. Sounds like you have the opposite problem.

Thanks,but there is no minimum throttle point in the software or if there is they are calling it something else which is what im trying to find out..

Tony .. .when you do the first setup point .. low throttle ... make sure its high up on the trim ... too low on the trim and it will drop the revs low .. also if your running a 7 channel rx then the gain works ... try it at 12 o'clock first ...

That could be my problem right there Mike,ive been setting my low endpoint with the trim right down and did wonder if i should be doing it this way.
Ill give that a go.should i leave the trim in the default position or should i raise it a bit more?

take the gov off and set it so its fast idle .. then use that position as the low throttle point in setting up the revlock m8e ....

Reset the endpoints on sat with the trim just above centre and it works great now so thanks Mike.
