  • Revlock 20 help

ive got a problem with my revlock where on a descent or when the heli is under light load the gov seems to be closing the throttle too far.
You can hear it happening and and it will recover as soon as you give it a bit of throttle.
not sure which parameter i need to adjust on the interface though so can anyone point me in the right direction please.

    Cheers Tony.

I know Tim,this is the second time ive asked this question and remedied the first one with a multigov lol.
I want to get to the bottom of it this time before giving up and getting another multigov.

If you want to make the change I do have the predecessor to the MultiGov Pro, the MultiGov, but you would need to get the LCD programmer. The MultiGov doesn't have the carbsmart feature.

I have to say the MultiGov is a fantastic governor and like the Revlock doesn't require a tacho to set up.

First off at present does the engine tickover reliably? You might just need to re-calibrate your throttle endpoints because I think most governors only close the throttle to minimum of 30%.

Whilst writing this I just thought as the throttle goes to a 30% is that where you perhaps have a bit of a rough patch. Is it just a case that the mid-range on the carb needs a tweak?

Got Stainburn to run on Saturday but you can expect a car full on Sunday.

              Get the bacon on.

Apologies for taking this thread off topic mate..

I agree, the multigov is a great gov,i have one on my other heli.
It idles fine and the engine seems to be tuned ok.

ensure that the throttle movement covers the fully shut to fully open position without binding of the linkage or stalling the servo. Select a
servo arm length that avoids throttle ATV values greater than 115% or less than 85%. Some engines have very non-linear throttling
characteristics with small throttle movements at light loads causing large changes in power while large movements are required to
produces significant power changes near full throttle. You should adjust the throttle trim until the correct idle is obtained with the stick in
the fully closed position with the idle-up switch in the normal position. A linear throttle curve taking the throttle from idle at bottom stick
to full throttle at top stick is ideal. Any Idle up state should have its lowest throttle value at least 25% above the idle point to ensure that the
governor remains engaged at all collective positions. A fully aerobatic idle up pitch range (with equal positive and negative pitch ranges)
should have the normal V shaped throttle curve. RevLock will tend to mask carburation problems with the engine so we strongly
recommend that you check the mixture settings of the engine with the governor disabled. This is easily gone by pressing 'SET' during the
Sensor Test routine. This will prevent RevLock from engaging. RevLock will simply pass the throttle signal from the receiver directly to
the servo. RevLock's Fail-safe will remain active.
The throttle hold should put the throttle to the idle position.

Yep,done all that Nathan, got my endpoint to 99% low and high so there virtually perfect.its strange as ive used revlocks on both my 600s in the past straight out of the box with no probs, its only when i try to use them on my 90's that this problem occurs
