I was going to get a spartan but after reading some reports and a friend of mine running them decided to go with a 720 ... straight out the box it worked apart from a little harsh on stops but a little tweaking and its spot on now my night flyer is getting a 720 as well this year

My 50s and 90 have CSM 720, And the 450 and 250 have Align.

Got more CSM than Aligns, hence voting CSM The thing i like about CSM is the customer support from the guys in Glossop.. Top class and very friendly..

Never tried Spartans and used to have Futaba all round (a mixture of 240, 401, 502). The reason i switched was the ease of setting the CSM and the Aligns over my old Futabas.. No messing around with pots and lcd panels

I do find it interesting that 18 months ago the Futaba was the gyro of choice.

...and over the next year or so, I reckon that the Align gyros will become more popular too, especially the GP750 now that the 780 is on the way!!!!

No doubt about it, the GP750 is a good gyro.

I tried a CSM 420 on my G5 but was not overly happy with it, but dead easy to set up. Currently got a Futaba GY520 on the G5 and Align GP750 on the TREX 250. I think I will consolidate onto a single Gyro as all the different setup processes befuddle me. I now got a Quark and will probably 'standardise' on either the GY520 or the Quark on all my machines once I have tried it out and decided whict it will be. Got to get the 500 going after February....

                    A fair selection for me
A GP750 Took it off my 600NSP I didnt like it, works ok on my rex250
Spartan Replaced the GP750. This I do like
GY401 Got a couple of these and still like them, Trex 500 and Mini Titan and another headed for my old Kalt Baron
CSM720 Just fitted this to my 700 and my spare 600. I am converted I really like the way these work
GY611 never really got comfortable with it, I can see this on up for sale /swap for a 720soon.

I've now rationalised my "fleet" and have 401s on all three.

Most of the Aligns, fair few Spektrum bits, bunch of Align & HiTec servos, OBE, VD & Bar.

Well we had better get CSM working on the case design rather than the gyro software then.....

For me it's Spartan. Have the DS760 on my 600n and the quark on my 250SE both rock. Have had the GY401 on various 450's, great gyro but not as good as the spartan. Have the GY611 on my N9 but probably will replace it with Spartan soon. Never liked the JR770 which I had on my 600ESP.

Yet to try the CSM gyros.
