that may well be true, however on the forums it seems peoples experience of this particular bit of kit seems to be very positive indeed.

I posted about this on the Blade 400 section of this site as well, for most people with a RTF heli this may well still be an upgrade from the standard, undoubtedly very cheap, Gyro which came with their heli.

Based on the info elsewhere I think I'll be giving this a go in the NY, I can understand people with large very expensive helis buying a cheap gyro isnt worth it, but for those of us with sub £200 machines it may well be a significant improvement over the stock.

You have taken all the words out of my mouth as the idea of it is to replace my Futaba gyro 401 on my sons B400 that I loaned him.

The expensive sensors provide significantly better vibration immunity, thermal stability and dynamic range. As far as thermal stability goes, you may be lucky and get a gyro that is not affected much by temperature or in the majority who get a gyro that starts to drift as it warms up a few minutes into flight. If you still want a cheap gyro buy the 401B knowing that you will pay for and you will get a £40 gyro. Don't let the similarities of the name and case design make you think you are getting anything close to a GY401 because you are not!

Spoken to them most of there parts are made by 'Sonic' http://www.3dx450.com/ he told me the G401B is very good and does another digi gyro that is as good and suited to the 400 size about £27, the 401's he's sold loads apparently so I,m on the lookout for reviews.
