  • JR Servo reverse?

I've just installed some JR 8915's on the cyclics on my 600n. When it came to testing the set up I found I had to reverse the servos in my radio from the original Futaba set up. All installed exactly the same way in the receiver slots. Do JR servos run the opposite way to Futaba? Sounds silly to me but its the only reason I can come up with!!!!!!!

    Yes you need to reverse.

Yes, they always go the opposite way to Futaba servos. The positive and negative wires are in the opposite positions on the servo lead. The signal wire is in the same place. It's also to same with their Tx charging sockets, which is why you can't use a Futaba charger on a JR Tx.

That sounds misleading to me. If you place a JR and a Futaba servo connector side by side so the smooth side is up and the holes are facing away from you the negative will be the wire to the left. The positive is in the centre and the signal wire is to the right. What you wrote implies if you swap the centre and left hand wire on the JR servo it will work the same as a Futaba one, which it wont because they are in the same position as each other. They go in opposite directions because of the way the signal is interpreted by each company.

You're probably right there my friend. I haven't got them in front of me, but one thing's for sure - they definitely go the opposite way, and the Tx charge leads don't match.

Servo's are wired the same way around - it's why we can plug them into any receiver...

                  Cheers,
