    FWIW - I did it the opposite way. I started with a low throttle hold value in the transmitter, then moved it up slowly until the motor started. As soon as it did, I backed it down one so that it stopped again.

    This way, you don't have the shock of a motor going full pelt whilst you find the cut off point!

    But yes - if you haven't changed the TH value in your TX - that'll explain why it isn't working!

        Well, I have tried all the above e.g. I have tried normal mode and IU with full negative on the stick and wound the TH throttle curve anywhere from the -30 to +100 that it allows. Nothing changes.
        No matter what I try when flicking in/out of TH I cannot get the heli to spool up quickly.
