Yea that's where i see the difference in fast aileron tic tocs etc, everything just looks so crisp with the opti's. I have £40 towards lipo's for my logo so far so it will be a few weeks or so yet coz it's the wifes birthday on the 29th so i need to spend out on that...'mmmm' Tai restuarant yum!!
I am sticking with Turnigy for at least another year and have heard countless reports of the Optis going the distance.
I didnt think they we're Worley Parsons I heard they were Desire power cells although it's irrelevant really who makes them for Optipower,I know they are a very good Lipo.
Do you have access to a logger? Mikado supply a 100A esc to run that motor. So apart from the packs could your esc also be adding to your problem?
I expect a new pack will show an immediate improvement and I think the same as you when it comes to spending money on lipos.
No BUT Mattie Lodge may have one & i'm due a flight with him soon so i'll see. A nice Kontronic Jive 100LV would be my choice esc but i can't afford one. I know the Align is not the best ESC but i find the 75A just like the 35A to be near bullet proof & seems to perform well. Others have run the same set up with no isues. Yea paying the tad extra can be a bitter pill to swallow but the power is drawing me in despite saying i'd never go back to premium brand lipo's.
At the 3D Champs last year, I was told by Ashley Davies that the packs Dave Fisher was competeing with were around 130 cycles old.
Back in October Dave had gone over 100 flights on his Opti packs, woulnd't be surprised if he was well over 150 now. He was saying that at just over 100 flights ( 108 I think if memory serves ) they were performing the same as a new set he'd got. This is why I'm only buying Opti ones now.

My opti packs are just getting better and better. On my TDR running a 50% straight throttle after 10mins I still have 56%. Very good packs IMO I'm sure most of you will agree.

All I require is honest tangible reults from users and p4ddy is obviously looking for the same thing where users have been able to put a good number of cycles on their packs. If you are Joe Public, you paid full price and were not expected to give a sponsors reply then that is good enough for me, thank you.
I might be interested in trying a 6s 2700 one in a 500 size model, although I am happy enough with the Turnigys I know that these although dearer packs will outlive them.
I know Matt Lodge really likes them and Richie, these are the only ones I have seen fly in the flesh and I value and trust their opinions all day long without question,I would maybe like to leave it nearer the summer before getting one but I don't intend to get any new packs before this anyway,a lot of water will flow under the bridge by then so will see at the time.
Had a check this morning, up to 35 cycles on mine, put another 2 cycles on them this morning, so at this rate, it should only take me another 33 weeks to get it over a hundred! Hopefully when the weather warms up I'll start getting a few more cycles on them.
I'll be the 2nd on the Fusion in a few weeks time Andy, problem is I won't have a nything to base my opinion against. Getting some Turnigys too so should have more idea later in the year
