    It means it is getting ready to alarm and is just helping out a bit with the voltage ...

    Very short momentary voltage drops are pretty much normal with almost every BEC or regulator, what matters more is how low it goes and for how long.

    The UG430 will step in and support the voltage if it drops by 0.5V or more but will only alarm if the voltage stays low for more than a very brief period.

    Net effect is your voltage is never allowed to fall by more than 0.5V but the alarm doesn't go off unless there is a real problem

        I noticed on that instruction manual posted above that if you move the servos during start-up the Guard may not arm.

          Bec wired into neg side of 6s pack only 22.2v
          Opti guard was working fine but just stopped.

            Thanks, so the fault you see is that the white alarm LED is flashing shortly after you power everything up?

            Do you have any telemetry on the heli that would show what the actual voltage is at the time this happens?

              Generally, yes.

              If it happens with only moderate stick movement it can indicate a weak BEC as the voltage really shouldn't fall so easily, but most BECs will drop briefly under a heavy load.
